Doplnkové informácie

Juraj Válek je vedúcim katedry financií od júna 2023. Pôsobí na Ekonomickej univerzite od roku 2008, najprv ako interný doktorand, od roku 2011 ako odborný asistent  a od roku 2020 ako docent na Katedre financií Národohospodárskej fakulty. Nosnými oblasťami výskumu je eliminácia daňových únikov v oblasti selektívnych daní, nové možnosti príjmov z environmentálnych daní a vplyv zvyšovania sadzieb zo selektívnych daní na makroekonomické ukazovatele. Vyučuje a garantuje odborné predmety na I. až III. stupni štúdia. Od októbra 2024 je členom programovej rady Financie bankovníctvo a investovanie na I. stupni štúdia, Financie a dane na II. stupni štúdia a Financie na III. stupni štúdia, tak v slovenskom ako aj anglickom jazyku. Je členom akademického senátu fakulty a tiež akademického senátu univerzity. 

Juraj Válek has been the head of the Department of Finance since June 2023. He has been working at the University of Economics since 2008, first as an internal doctoral student, since 2011 as an assistant professor, and since 2020 as an associate professor at the Department of Finance of the Faculty of Economics. His main areas of research are the elimination of tax evasion in the field of selective taxes, new possibilities for revenue from environmental taxes, and the impact of increasing selective tax rates on macroeconomic indicators. He teaches and supervises specialized subjects at the first to third levels of study. Since October 2024, he has been a member of the program council for Finance, Banking, and Investing at the first level of study, Finance and Taxes at the second level of study, and Finance at the third level of study, both in Slovak and English. He is a member of the faculty's academic senate and also the university's academic senate.
