Francesco Roncone is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Economics and Business in Bratislava. His primary research interests are in labour economics and applied microeconomics. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Adelaide in 2024 and previously held a research fellowship at the University of Bologna.

His work examines how technological change reorganises work within occupations, shaping inequality and regional divergences. A particular focus is on artificial intelligence and its heterogeneous labour market effects relative to earlier waves of technological change. Additional projects study gender disparities in job mobility under precarious employment and unstable working hours.

He has teaching experience at the University of Adelaide, where he worked as a teaching assistant and tutor in a wide range of courses between 2020 and 2024, including Applied Microeconomics, Human Resource Economics, International Finance, and Introductory Economics. He currently serves as the instructor for the Master’s-level course Labour Economics, delivering both lectures and seminars.
