Volebná komisia pre voľby do zamestnaneckej časti Akademického senátu NHF EU v Bratislave týmto v súlade s  čl. 3 Zásad volieb NHF EU v Bratislave do  Akademického senátu Národohospodárskej fakulty Ekonomickej univerzity v Bratislave (Vnútorný predpis č. 7/2023 v znení Dodatku č. 1, ktorý nadobudol platnosť a účinnosť 27.3.2026) vyhlasuje voľby do zamestnaneckej časti AS NHF EU v Bratislave na funkčné obdobie od 01.06.2026 do 31.05.2030 a zverejňuje pravidlá, termín a spôsob uskutočnenia volieb. 

Does public sector employment attract less honest students? That is one way to frame the central research question of a newly published article produced at the Faculty of National Economy (NHF). The study was authored by researcher Richard Kališ, doctoral student Margaréta Pauchlyová (at the photo), and recent graduate Beáta Beňová. We spoke with the authors about how the idea for the research came about, whether public administration really does attract less honest students, and what can be done to help reduce corruption.

In 2026, the Danube Cup Pitch Competition celebrates its 10th anniversary. What began as a regional initiative has evolved into a well-established international platform connecting universities across the Danube region and beyond. Today, the network brings together 11 partner universities from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, and Slovakia, offering students a unique opportunity to present validated startup ideas on an international stage.

Francesco Roncone (left) and Kaan Ragip Erdemli (rigth) are new members of the Faculty of Economics and Business, joining us from very different academic and professional backgrounds. Their arrival strengthens the international dimension of our faculty. Francesco teaches Labour Economics, while Kaan lectures Quantitative Methods in Economics at the bachelor’s level and Analysis of Market Structures at the master’s level.

We sat down with both of them to talk about their academic journeys, research motivations, and first impressions of the faculty.

Bc. Paula Gašpercová is a fifth-year student in the Applied Economics program. She is also the winner of the Student Scientific and Professional Activity (ŠVOČ) competition at both the faculty and university levels, and the recipient of the Literary Fund Award for the best paper presented at the Student Scientific Conference in the 2024/25 academic year. Her supervisor was Peter Tóth.


We talked with Paula about her research, motivation to participate in the competition, what makes a ŠVOČ paper successful, and her future career plans.

Barbara Čeryová is a recent graduate of the PhD program in Finance at the Faculty of National Economy (NHF). After completing her doctoral studies, she now works as an analyst at the European Investment Fund (EIF), headquartered in Luxembourg. In our interview, we discussed her motivations for pursuing a PhD in Slovakia, the new format of completing the degree through a series of journal articles, and finally, whether women face greater challenges in science.
