Martin Kahanec, CELSI's Scientific Director, appointed Member of the Panel of Experts for the European Court of Auditors' EU Labour Mobility Audit.

It has been decided by the Members of the Court that the audit will concern the freedom of movement for workers in the EU. It will audit the role of the European Commission as a guardian of Article 45 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU and the use of European Programme for Employment and Social Innovation and the European Social Fund in facilitating labor mobility in the EU.

Kahanec has also been appointed Member of the Working Group for Regional Development of the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Support of Least Developed Regions.

Teams from Charles University’s Institute of Economic Studies in Prague (Czech Republic) and from the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia) have won the EIB Institute interest rate case presented in the framework of the second Rotman European Trading Competition (RETC) hosted by LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome from August 25th to August 27th.
