The University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA), in collaboration with the Slovak University of Technology (STU), is launching a new bachelor’s degree program in FinTech and Financial Innovations, designed to reflect current trends in the financial sector and technological advancements.

As part of a joint project between EUBA and STU aimed at supporting modern higher education in Slovakia, several new study programs are being developed. One of them is the FinTech and Financial Innovations bachelor's program, which will be offered in partnership between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at STU and the Faculty of National Economy at EUBA. This program is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of financial technologies and innovations, preparing them for the rapidly evolving financial market.

The program is led by Assoc. Prof. Ing. Tomáš Ondruška, PhD. from the Department of Insurance. Other key contributors include Assoc. Prof. Ing. Peter Árendáš, PhD., and Ing. Ľubomír Darmo, PhD., who are actively involved in the program’s development and implementation.

The program is expected to be offered starting in September 2025, with the first cohort of students enrolling in September 2026.

This new initiative represents a significant step forward in higher education in Slovakia, combining the expertise of two leading universities to equip students with the skills needed to navigate the challenges of the modern financial world.
