Viktória Mičjanová) has already measured their skills 5 times in a row at the world round of the RITC 2021 trading competition under the professional guidance of associate prof.. Jana Kotlebová, PhD. and associate prof. Peter Árendáš, PhD.

 

The world round of the RITC 2021 trading competition is professionally covered by the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto, Canada). The pandemic situation caused the participation took place in a virtual environment. The types of trading were curtailed. This year, students competed only in spot trading and the futures oil market (BP Commodities Case), ETF (Liquidity Risk Case) and algorithmic trading (Python used for our team) in the Rotman Interactive Trader Environment. The competition was attended by 45 universities from around the world except Africa. Europe was represented by 7 universities, while our university ranked 3rd place among Europeans.

The final round of the Rotman Trading International Competition (RITC 2021) took place on 19 February 2021.

During the 5th year of the history of participation in this world competition, our team achieved the best result this time - it finished at 15th place overall. Compared to last year, we have moved forward 6 places. So we left behind 30 universities, including Harvard University, the University of California Los Angeles, the University of Toronto, Central European University, Trinity College Dublin, Southwestern University, the University of Finance and Econometrics (School of Finance), McGill University and many more.The absolute winners of RITC 2021 were Baruch College (USA), University of Ottawa (Canada) and Luiss Guido Carli - University of Rome (Italy).Congratulations and keep your fingers crossed on the European round - RETC 2021, which will take place in Rome (Italy) in August this year.
