Our students have a unique opportunity to learn the basics of programming in Python, understand Data Science and meet new people. A student club is a quite common format at universites, which operates on the principle of a "self-learning" group of students who learn by themselves or through help of invited instructors from practice. Pilot class starts in the winter semester of academic year 2019/2020 with 10 lectures lasting 1.5 hours. The course is intended as an introduction to Python programming language and Data Science.
You don't nned to worry as no previous programming experience is necessary. You'll learn everything from basics. The lecturers will be experts from practice and they will teach in the form of live-coding. Specifically, companies such as ERSTE Group, Exponea and EMARK. At the end of the semester, students will present their own analysis of any topic. Teaching will take place in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. You will also see an interesting social program, which will run as a side, extracurricular activity and will serve to get to know each other better.
